My Story

Hi all! My name is Morgan Scarr, the owner of Scarr Beauty, LLC. I started this business a few years ago with the goal to do makeup. I have added and left behind a few services along the way. However, I think I finally found the perfect combination to feed my passions! Thus Scarr Beauty Photography + Makeup (or SB Photography and Makeup) was born.

I actually bought my first camera to take photos of the makeup looks that I was creating. Then I started carrying my camera everywhere. I fell in love with taking photos of nature. Then I fell in love with capturing moments of my nieces and nephews, and then family was asking me to take photos for them. I realized just how much I LOVED doing this, and people were telling how much they loved the photos I took of them.

I started dabbling in photography in 2018, and started offering it as a service in 2022. While getting my bachelors degree a lot of my elective classes were photography related. I also attended a photography retreat recently and was able to learn from some incredible photographers. I hope to keep doing these things to continue to learn and grow. I have been doing makeup my whole life on myself and others. However I got officially certified in 2021 to offer it as a service here in Idaho. I am constantly learning new things for makeup as well as the trend change. I hope to always learn and grow in both arts! That is one of my favorite things about these two crafts, that I can continue to learn and grow. I do not like to stay stagnant, and this helps me to continue loving these two things.

A little about me; I was born and raised here in Southeast Idaho. I am married to my best friend and we have three fur babies, and a human baby on the way! I am 28 years old, a Taurus, and a book lover. I graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Psychology in 2022, which isn't really relevant to this business, but I am super proud of myself for finishing! I do still have a "day job" that I can use my degree for, but this is my true passion! Even as a side gig. I struggle with perfectionism, which can be a blessing and a curse. It means you will always get the absolute best I can offer at that point in time, but it also may take me a little longer to make sure it is up to my standards.

I am so excited to have you here, and I hope I can help you capture something beautiful!
